Alison has worked in primary education for 38 years, 30 in senior leadership, as a head of a Church of England primary school and as a local authority adviser for Cambridgeshire.  In the latter role she managed the local authority monitoring role for statutory assessment in key stages 1 and 2, and was Induction co-ordinator for newly qualified teachers. She also led the implementation of the National Strategy programme for Gifted and Talented pupils. In addition to her school based work, Alison is an experienced assessor for the National Professional Qualifications for Headteachers, senior and middle leaders.
