Jacqui has 22 years experience of primary teaching. For over 14 years she was headteacher at two different schools. In her second headship, Jacqui amalgamated an infant and a junior school to form a cohesive, two-form entry primary. Ofsted described her leadership as, ‘dynamic’ and ‘innovative’.

From 2008, Jacqui worked as a consultant headteacher and Local Leader of Education for Cambridgeshire. She supported several schools in their school improvement journeys; all of them subsequently went on to receive ‘good’ judgements from Ofsted as effective self-evaluation practices became embedded.

In 2010, Jacqui acted as the ‘lead learner’ for Cambridgeshire on the final National Strategies’ project ‘Priority Learning Local Authorities’. A key finding of the project was that ‘sustainable school improvement is accelerated through the development of collaborative leadership and learning’. Since leaving headship, Jacqui has continued to support the LA in its school improvement work, working in partnership with senior leadership teams to develop self-improving school systems.

‘Jacqui offers a terrific balance of support and challenge …our school has gained immeasurably from her input.’ – Cambridgeshire Headteacher.
